International Acetyl Co (IAC), a Sipchem affiliate, has exported its first shipment to Asia. IAC produces acetic acid at Jubail at its 460,000 tpa plant that also houses a 50,000 tpa acetic anhydride plant. About 50% of the acetic acid will be used as a feedstock for the vinyl acetate monomer plant that will be commissioned by Sipchem this month. Sipchem has exported its first shipment of acetic acid to Asia.
