South Korea's SK Corp. will continue to run its 620,000 tpa No. 2 naphtha cracker at 50% capacity until December. The company plans to repair the unit during a one-week closure in December.
The unit was shut for about a week in mid-October to tackle an unexpected technical problem, and continued running at low rates as the problem persisted. The cracker went through a 34-day planned turnaround to raise its capacity in late August.
