South Korea SK Gas finalizes US$890 mln propylene plan

SK Gas, South Korea's top LPG importer, has finalized a US$890 million plan to build a 600,000 tpa propylene plant in the industrial city of Ulsan on the country's southeast coast by 2016. SK Gas runs an LPG storage facility in Ulsan with a capacity of 290,000 mt. The South Korean major is considering importing US shale gas-based LPG as feedstock for its petrochemical business.
