Subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric completes FEED for Petronas' RAPID project in Johor

Yokogawa Kontrol (Malaysia), a subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric, has completed the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for Petronas' refinery and petrochemical integrated development (RAPID) project in Johor, Malaysia. The company was earlier selected to provide FEED as the main automation contractor for the project. Under the contract, Yokogawa was to deliver the CENTUM VP production control system and the ProSafeR-RS safety instrumented system. Installation of process control and plant information management systems was also part of the contract.
