A sudden outage at Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC)’s newly commissioned aromatics plant- KARO, has shut the plant for 5 days.
As per market estimates, the plant was running at around 65% capacity, and a small shutdown will lead to a small production loss. The plant - KARO, had sold its second batches of light naphtha to two undisclosed buyers for February delivery at high premiums. The shutdown is estimated to affect one medium range of light naphtha cargo shipment.
