Thai Oil Pcl plans to spend on paraxylene capacity expansion and new machinery

Thai Oil Pcl plans to spend US$500 mln - 1 bln from 2011 to 2015, mainly on paraxylene capacity expansion and new machinery. Under the plan, the company will spend US$300-400 mln in 2011 mainly to upgrade its paraxylene plant and improve its refinery plant to meet Euro 4 pollution standards. The company awaits EAI approval for the paraxylene upgrade. The plant upgrade will boost its annual capacity to 500,000 tons from 400,000.
