Turkish petrochemical producer Petkim has cut its list prices for low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and polypropylene, as naphtha continued its descent, as per Platts. Naphtha was assessed at $415/mt on Wednesday, a low not seen since April 30, 2009.
Petkim reduced LDPE and PP list prices by US$150/mt and US$165/mt, respectively, and lowered HDPE blowmoulding, injection and pipe grades by US$130/mt. The fall in list prices came on the back of the seasonally poor demand and the recent upstream collapse.
