Turkey's Petkim to use LPG for ethylene production once tax is lifted

Turkish petrochemical maker, Petkim intends to use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in place of naphtha for the production of ethylene, one of its chief products once the tax on LPG is lifted by the government. The firm's decision comes after the Turkish government declaring to lift the tax on LPG for use in ethylene production. This move is expected to increase Petkim's flexibility in raw materials, the chemicals maker said.
