Two leading North America-based automotive trim suppliers--Guardian Automotive and Siegel-Robert Automotive--have come together to create SRG Global, Inc., a global mega brand unrivaled in product breadth and global reach. The announcement was made at the Geneva International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland. The Michigan-headquartered new privately held entity, SRG Global, Inc., is slated to be one of the largest manufacturers of chrome plated plastic parts for the automotive industry in the world and has a presence in major world markets including North America, Europe and Asia. SRG Global will direct its resources towards front end/rear end systems; greenhouse systems; body side systems; and some interior systems for leading aut manufacturers in the world. Guardian Automotive's European trim operation, formerly known as Lab. Radio, is also part of SRG Global.
In addition, SRG Global provides high value coatings on plastics and offers customers more than 100 years of combined experience in the automotive business. Globally, the company has 4,000 people with some 3,100 employees in six US manufacturing plants and technical centers. Other facilities are located in China and Western Europe. The company expects to bring new facilities on line in Central Europe and Mexico. Guardian Automotive, is the subsidiary of Guardian Industries Corp., a leading glass manufacturer for automotive and architectural industries. Guardian acquired Siegel-Robert Automotive recently.
