Unipetrol Group, a leading refinery and petrochemical group in the Czech Republic, has announced a 16-day irregular shutdown of its Litvinov steam cracker. As per announced on its website, the reason for the shutdown is repair of propylene refrigerant system. Regular X-ray monitoring found reduction of pipe wall diameter in pipeline used for transport of liquid propylene refrigerant. Unipetrol said that it will utilize the downtime for fixing other problems. Unipetrol is a part of Central Europe's largest refining and petrochemical group, PKN ORLEN.
