Uniplas Petrochemicals mulls locations besides India for US$1 bln petrochemical project

UAE-based major polymer & petrochemical trading company- Uniplas Petrochemicals Ltd is exploring the option of setting up a greenfield petrochemical complex in the PCPIR’s located either in Gujarat, Orissa or any other PCPIR, as indicated in a letter to the Department of Chemicals. The plant is proposed to have a capacity to produce 150,000 tpa of polymers & textile finishing chemicals, and export a few specialty chemicals. However, besides locations in India, the company is also exploring other locations in China and other countries.
