Reliance Industries will shut down major units of its Jamnagar refinery and petrochemicals complex for two months between October and December for planned maintenance. Reliance Industries plans to shut major units of its Jamnagar petroleum and petrochemicals complex for approximately eight weeks- the period of the shutdown is required to complete maintenance work.
Reliance would shut down one of the two crude distillation units as well as a fluid catalytic cracker unit at the 660,000-bpd refinery. Reliance Industries plans to use the shutdown period to carry out its "value maximisation programme" that is likely to result in higher yields and productivity and increase the production of high-value products.
