Unplanned delay precede Mitsubishi Chem's restart of Kashima naphtha cracker

16-Jul-16

Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corp said it restarted the 539,000 tpa naphtha cracker at its Kashima plant on Thursday, following a delay due to an extended planned maintenance, as per Reuters. The cracker, which had been shut since May 9, was slated to end planned maintenance on June 30 and restart on July 1. But, the company late last month delayed the restart by about two weeks citing an equipment problem.
