Unveiling Chinaplas 2008 Concurrent Event "Plastics & Rubber in Sports"

Application of Plastics and Rubber in Sports Industry Plastics and rubber are widely used in the sports industry, covering sports products and equipment, as well as construction of sports stadium. Good application of plastics and rubber technology in sports products and facilities can facilitate athletes to push further their potential and physical limits. Additional Sports Elements in Asia's No.1 International Plastics & Rubber Fair The 22nd International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (Chinaplas 2008), Asia's No.1 plastics and rubber trade fair, will be held from April 17-20, 2008 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), Pudong, Shanghai, PR China. The show will occupy over 130,000 sqm exhibition area, with 1,700 suppliers displaying 1,800 sets of machines, chemicals and raw materials. Under the theme of "Innovative Plastics and Rubber, Sports without Limit", a series of activities to promote the application of plastics and rubber in sports will be organized in "Plastics & Rubber in Sports" Hall, locating at the central square outside the exhibition hall E2 and E3. "Plastics & Rubber in Sports" The event is comprised of three parts with its unique focus: 1. Product Display: Various sports ware and stadium facilities applying the latest plastics and rubber technologies will be displayed. 2. Performances: Biking, Basketball and Tae Kwon Do 3. Interactive Games: Table Tennis, Mini-football and Mini-golf "Plastics & Rubber in Sports" Hall will be opened to all visitors during the four-day fair. Various models of sport venues, pictures and illustrations will be demonstrated. Visitors can acknowledge how the plastics and rubber materials apply in 2008 Beijing Olympics' sport stadium, including Bird's Nest (National Stadium), Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) and National Indoor Stadium. Besides, a number of sports products and equipment used in gymnastics, cycling, canoeing and skiing will be displayed. Visitors can also participate in several interactive games, including football, golf and table tennis, to experience the contribution of plastics and rubber technology, which can enhance the performance and safety in sports events.
