US crude rises on tropical storm in Texas , global oversupply pressures Brent futures

16-Jun-15
US July crude inched up to US$59.9, rising as a tropical storm moved ashore in the oil-producing state of Texas. Tropical Storm Bill went ashore on the Texas Gulf Coast and is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds. Brent front-month August crude dipped to US$63.7 amid global oversupply, limited gains. Expectations that U.S. crude inventories fell again last week and strong RBOB gasoline futures also lent support. Expectation that this week's U.S. inventory data will show another draw has aided U.S. crude in outperforming Brent.
