Williams is considering addition of a second ethane cracker at it’s Geismar complex and is scouting for 1-2 partners on the project, as per theadvocate.com. At this stage, the company is trying to assess the market’s interest in participating in an investment in Geismar. As per John Dearborn, Williams’ senior vice president of NGL and petchem services, Geismar 1, the existing ethane cracker, has been expanded about as much as possible. The plan is to build a new, large cracker, Geismar 2 — and sell its production on a fee-for-service basis.
