Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America and San Antonio construction company Zachry Group have been awarded a contract to build two polyethylene production units as part of a US$10 bln plant just north near Corpus Christi. Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, a joint venture between Exxon Mobil and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, recently received permits for the petrochemical plant from state regulators. Construction for the polyethylene units is expected to start later this year and be complete by 2022.
