PE100 pipes offer best economy in whole life costing

As per the world watch institute, India will be a highly water stressed country from 2020, as the availability of water per person per annum will reduce to one third compared to current level.

Traditional metal and non metal water pipes have served the water distribution networks for many years. But the inherent corrosion problem and high leakage rates during their life cycle causes criminal wastage of a critical resource like water. 		Being strong but flexible, PE100 pipes can easily take the shape of a zigzag trench without the need for any fittings. They can be pulled through old, corroded metal pipes for relining, thus greatly reducing the need for excavation which disrupts traffic and public life.
		PE100 pipes can be installed by modern installation techniques like directional drilling for river, railway track or highway crossing without digging of open trenches.
		High chemical resistance, UV resistance and impact resistance makes PE100 pipelines absolutely maintenance free, even for harsh terrains

The actual total cost of a water pipeline is the combined sum of the pipe and component costs, the installation cost, maintenance cost and the cost of ownership.
PE100 pipes may be more expensive than traditional pipes per unit length basis for larger diameters (> 500 mm), but they provide significant savings in installation, maintenance cost and cost of ownership along with a higher service life.
Therefore, if water engineers make the selection of piping material based on whole life cost, pipes made of PE100 specified compounds will come out winner in most occasions.
