5 petrochemical projects to be inaugurated in Iran

The Iranian President is to inaugurate 5 petrochemical projects in Mahshahr, southwestern Khuzestan Province. Tondguyan, Bu-Ali Sina, Mahshahr Export Reservoirs, Amir-Kabir, and Navid-Zar Chimie petrochemical plants already into operation will also be inaugurated officially. Bu-Ali Sina project (third aromatic project) has a production capacity of 1 million tpa of petrochemicals. Tondguyan Petrochemical Plant is to produce 412,000 tons of petrochemicals. Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Plant (sixth olefin project) has a production capacity of 1 million tpa of petrochemicals. Mahshahr is among the projects that will be inaugurated, and has the total capacity of 117,000 tons with the reservoirs weighing 4,200 tons.
