Six giant petrochemical projects valued at US$6 bln are slated to come on stream by spring of 2006.
Ethane production unit of Pars Petrochemical Project has already started its pilot operation, and the extracted propane and butane are fed back to Pars Oil and Gas to be processed in full cycle.
The Olefin 9 and 10 of the unit, to turn it into ethylene, are to be completed. Aromatic, Methanol-4, and Urea and Ammonia projects are near completion. The projects are slated to have annual production of 5 mln tons, 650,000 tons, and 1 mln tons.
