Chemical company Celanese Corp. plans to rename its AT Plastics Inc. unit’s name to Celanese EVA Performance Polymers Inc., with effect from Aug. 1, 2009.
AT Plastics Inc. unit produces ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and low-density polyethylene and has been renamed to highlight the company’s commitment to an investment in its Edmonton, Canada-based facility. The name change also is part of the company’s plan to express its global positioning.
