Amcor opens new state-of-the-art facility in Ireland

One of the largest suppliers of flexible packing, Amcor Flexibles has recently set underway its new EUR 5 mln purpose built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sligo, Ireland. The 25,000 sq ft world class manufacturing facility houses new printing, pouch making and slitting equipment in a classified clean room manufacturing environment on a Greenfield site. The company's investment and expansion of the Sligo facility undermines its endeavour to assist the medical and pharmaceutical markets and id consistent with its worldwide strategy to expand globally and locally, its core market segment. The Sligo plant is a specialist converting site which has been supplying to the medical technology and pharmaceutical companies with a number of products for last 28 years.
