BASF increases the sales prices globally for acetylene-based specialty intermediates and carbonates by up to 10% with immediate effect or as contracts allow. The products are as follows:
- acetylene alcohols, such as propargyl alcohol, as well as other products within this product range;
- vinyl monomers, for example vinyl caprolactam; triethylene glycol divinyl ether as well as other product within this product range;
- carbonates, including Propylene carbonate S, Ethylene carbonate S and carbonate mixtures.
The named specialties are primarily used as intermediates for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Further applications are cosmetics, coatings, printing inks, polymers and others.
