BPCL fetches a high single digit premium on low aromatic naphtha amidst feeble Asian market

20-Sep-08
Despite the sluggish Asian naphtha market, India's state-owned Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has sold 27,000 tons of low aromatic naphtha to Sempra for a high single digit premium to Middle East quotes on FOB basis. The naphtha parcel is set to be delivered from Kochi between Sep 28 - Oct 8 lifting. In Asia, the naphtha market was weak due to overcapacity. Earlier, the company had forgone the tender for a parcel set to be lifted for Sep 18 - Sep 24 loading as it received lower bids for it.
