CNOOC to invest 45 bln yuan for new Huizhou refinery expansion

CNOOC Ltd.'s new 12 mln tpa Huizhou refinery is expected to come on stream next month. China National Offshore Oil Corp, the parent of CNOOC plans to invest 45 bln yuan to expand its new Huizhou refinery, augmenting refinery capacity to 22 mln tpa. Construction will begin next year and the new facilities are expected to become operational in 2011. CNOOC Refining will also build a 1 mln ton per year ethylene facility in Huizhou.
