Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc. (AERT), a pioneer in use of recycled polyethylene plastic in the manufacture of composite building materials, has commenced construction work for its new state-of-the-art 70,000 sq. ft PE films and packaging waste recycling facility at Watts, Oklahoma. The new plant will be able to wash, clean, and separate PE materials such as food packaging and wrapping films and is expected to be operational in Q1 2009. The Oklahoma-based plant will use AERT's patented and proprietary recycling technology to provide lower cost raw material thereby benefiting consumers. AERT has been widely recognized as a leader in resource conservation innovation and received the EPA Award for Environmental Excellence for its process of converting scrap plastic to composite outdoor decking. AERT converts reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into quality outdoor decking systems, fence systems, and door and window components.
