Finland's global consumer packaging company, Huhtamaki has set underway its second state-of-the art flexible packaging plant in Samutsakorn, Thailand. The new plant houses modern manufacturing facilities for flexible packaging in a world class hygienic environment. The growing food segment export market and the need for a sustainable, profitable business model are the main reasons to expand the constrained production capacity in Thailand. The new flexibles packaging plant in Thailand is poised to cash in on the expected 10% retail market growth in Asian region. The company, which is present in Thailand sine 1997, already has a 10 % share of the broader Thai flexible packaging market.
