KBR has been awarded a contract by Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation (EHC) to complete a pre-Front End Engineering Design (pre-FEED) study for two polyethylene units at its proposed Petrochemical Complex. The complex will be located 25 km (15.5 miles) from Suez, Egypt, near the Red Sea.
Under the pre-FEED study, KBR will perform Polyethylene (PE) technology evaluation and licensor recommendation to EHC. Each plant has a nominal capacity of 450,000 tpa of HDPE and LLDPE.
