India Pack 2008 Buyers Programme Convened successfully

The programme marked top level representation of over 100 leading packaging and allied sector companies. Those who have established themselves as innovative, imaginative, cost effective and reliable player in the Indian Packaging Industry. The objective of organizing the buyer programme was to share the latest happenings and provide updates on INDIA PACK 2008 to the packaging fraternity and the benefits of representation in the exhibition. The programme was attended by Mr. Rajiv Dhar (Director IIP), Mr. BS Kampani (Chairman IIP) Mr. JR Shah (Chairman Exhibition Committee IIP), Mr. Anatoly Sushon (MD Expomedia Events India) and Mr. Hari Jagwani (Sr. VP Tafcon Group). They addressed the need of growing Indian packaging industry in the context of globalization and booming domestic market. The significant role of India Pack exhibition which has helped the industry to sustain the growth was also outlined. The industry leaders who marked the presence included Mr. Bushen Raina - Chairman Tata TinPlate Company, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia - MD Hindustan Tin Works, Mr. Arunav Guha - Sr. Vice President Reliance Industries, Mr. Pradeep Tyle - President Uflex, Mr. P.D. Shah - MD Saurashtra Paper & Board to name a few. They gave their active contribution to make INDIAPACK 2008 – for the industry, by the industry show. Senior representatives from HLL, Cadbury India, Nestle India, Positive Packaging, Hindustan Glass, ITC, Fibre foils, Kris Flexipack, IDMC,Associated Capsules, Akzo Nobel, Kores India among others expressed their intentions to prominently participate in this mega event of the packaging industry. Apart from the Industry professionals and market leaders the programme was also graced by the presence of print and electronic media. Economic Times and Doordarshan covered the event apart from other leading trade journals. INDIA PACK 2008 which is scheduled to take place at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Goregaon, Mumbai from 18th – 21st September 2008 will be featuring companies representing the best that the international and Indian packaging world has to offer to the South Asian market. The US commercial department too has extended its solidarity towards the exhibition. The U.S. Commercial Service will coordinate a USA Pavilion at this prestigious event. USA Pavilion Exhibitors will receive benefits such as - Ideal exhibition location at no additional fee, Pre-show India-wide marketing campaign to Indian packaging companies, On-site counseling and matchmaking assistance throughout the show, Free networking events such as exhibitor networking dinner, U.S. Embassy Delhi guarantee in lieu of a bank guarantee to import exhibits duty free to list a few benefits Western India Corrugated Box manufactures Association informed that the association has made all out efforts and roped in a largest participation of its members under their pavilion at INDIAPACK 2008, with 360 sq.mt. net area. India Pack 2008 has so far seen a tremendous response from the International and domestic packaging fraternity. So much so that the exhibition space is all set to surpass all past achievements and reach 10,000 sq.mt mark. The exhibition organizing team expressed that the complete exhibition space will be sold out well before the exhibition scheduled in mid- September. India pack 2008 has confirmed participation from Tetra Pak, Tata Tinplate Company, Kris Flexipack, Paharpur 3P, Jindal Polyfims, Sealed Air, Hilda Automation, Hindustan Tin Works , Rexam HTW, Associated Capsules Group , ITW India, Akzo Nobel, Pragati Pack, KPMA, PPMA, Wraptech, Strapex, Eltete India, IPN India, Floter India, Shetron , Kores India, Pentone Asia, Fibco, Fiber Foils amongst others. Apart from this country pavilions from USA, TURKEY, CHINA,SOUTH KOREA, TAIWAN, THAILAND will soon announce their constituents at INDIAPACK 2008. INDIA PACK 2008 will be the first exhibition in India that caters to the exact needs of the packaging industry within the sub-continent by bringing together the biggest manufacturers and suppliers from across the world under one roof and allowing them to share information, technology and data. The exhibition is solely meant for this purpose and with participants from various countries like UK, Russia, Singapore, USA, UAE, China, Korea, Sri Lanka and host India. The event promises to be the largest packaging expo to be held in this region. In order to attract more and more visitors the organizers have carried out extensive marketing campaigns on a created database via, advertisements, telemarketing, outdoor publicity, SMS services, direct mailers, emails etc. the aim of this exercise is to deliver the most senior and influential packaging professionals from throughout India and South Asia.
