PetroChina Sichuan Chemical has appointed Aker Solutions to supply the process design and technical advisory services for its new 45000 tpa polypropylene (PP) production plant in Chengdu. The plant, that will use Dow's Unipol process, is scheduled for completion in 2010. This unit, part of Petrochina's 800,000 tpa ethylene complex, will be one of the largest single-train PP units in China.
