Abu Dhabi Refinery plans 10 day maintenance shutdown that will affect naphtha hydrodesulphurization unit

12-Oct-09
Abu Dhabi Oil Refinery Co. (Takreer), the state-run company, is planning maintenance on a hydro-skimming unit this month. For this, a naphtha hydrodesulphurization unit will be taken offline for about ten days. Total output at the refinery is unlikely to be affected since the facility had placed additional fuel from the unit in storage for processing during the outage. The facility’s crude distillation unit has a capacity of 120,000 bpd and the naphtha hydrodesulphurization lines can process 34,350 bpd.
