Alfa Laval has received a SEK 130 mln worth order for Alfa Laval Packinox custom-designed heat exchangers from Dragon Aromatics in China, deliverable in 2008. The equipment will be used in the catalytic processing sections in the manufacture of mixed xylenes - feedstock for various petrochemical end products such as polyester fibers and PET plastics bottles.
The project, to be located in the Haicang Investment Zone, has been named PX. PX is operated by Dragon Aromatics (Xiamen) Company Ltd., and will integrate an 800,000 tpa PX (paraxylene) unit and coordinating facilities such as thermal power plants, a liquid chemical wharf and a transport storage site. Alfa Laval Packinox designs, develops and manufactures welded plate heat exchangers with an extensive array of client benefits providing customised effective solutions.
