A blaze at Dragon Aromatics resurfaced for a second time on Wednesday morning, several hours after it was reportedly extinguished, as per straitstimes.com. The fire, which had been put out by 11:40 p.m Tuesday night nearly 21 hours after it started, was seen flaming once again at around 2.09 am local time (2.09 am Singapore time), Xinhua reported.
The fire started after oil leaked at the Dragon Aromatics facility on the Gulei Peninsula at around 6.50pm on Monday, initial investigations found. It was the second explosion at the plant in two years. 6 people were sent to hospital for injuries, and another 13 people sustained minor injuries, CCTV reported. About 400 Gulei residents were relocated to nearby areas.
