BPCL plans investment in petrochemical plant and expansion of the Kochi refinery

Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) plans to spend between Rs180 bln to Rs.200 bln over the next five years to set up a petrochemical plant and expansion of the Kochi refinery. Rs 50 bln- 60 bln will be invested in a niche specialty chemical project. Expansion being planned at Kochi refinery will increase output from 9.5 mln tpa to 15 mln tpa.
