China levies anti dumping tariffs on caprolactam from EU and USA

A preliminary ruling by China’s Ministry of Commerce says that caprolactam from the European Union and USA had been dumped in China, causing substantial damage to country’s domestic industry, as per Xinhua. Chinese importers of European Union and United States caprolactam will have to put down a security deposit from Tuesday, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC). Caprolactam is a feedstock in the manufacture of Nylon 6. A final ruling will be made at a later date after further investigations.
