Announcing a long awaited innovation in resin chemistry for composites industry, a new resin trade named PULTREAT has been revealed after a 10 year R&D effort by Zeon Technologies and Kusek and Associates. PULTREAT exhibits high temperature performance, abrasion and chemical resistance, toughness, speed of cure and ease of processing for most known composite processes. It shows good toughness, is free of any styrene and can give a continuous service at a temperature of 200oC.
PULTREAT is compatible with glass, graphite, and most other fibers used in the composite industry. The processing flexibility will largely benefit the manufacture of molding compounds, pultrusions, filament windings (chemical and petrochemical industries), vacuum infusion and prepregs (electrical, electronics, aircraft, fiber optics, power distribution and transportation industries), coating of metal pipe and actuator rods (petrochemical industry), and the like.
