Dow Europe has announced a price increase in polyethylene (PE) for the seventh time this year. Effective August 1, the prices for LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India will be increased by Euro 150 per ton following a July 1 hike by the same amount. April was the only month when the company did not increase the PE prices. Should the raised prices be accepted by the markets, Dow's PE will become Euro 710 per ton more dearer relative to the 2007 end PE prices.
