Dow Chemical plans to shut its "Sconapor" EPS plant at Schkopau, Germany for scheduled maintenance for about 10 to 14 days in January 2007. The break will also be used to "upgrade the existing production line in order to enhance the efficiency of its operations." However, there are no plans to increase current capacity that stands at 50,000 tpa.
