A 7,000 mt ethylene cargo has been fixed for delivery from Houston into Stenungsund, Sweden, a broker said Tuesday, as per Platts. This follows the 6,700 mt cargo reported last month. According to the latest data from Eurostat, ethylene imports to the EU from the US rose to 20,871 mt in Q1 2016 from nothing in Q1 2015.
The average CIF NWE ethylene price in the first quarter was US$832/mt, against US$481/mt FOB USG.
