Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) starch hybrid compounds, a new group of bioplastics has been introduced by Cereplast, manufacturer of bio-based and sustainable bioplastics. Hybrid 651D, a new grade of Cereplast’s hybrid resin, is the category’s first product. It is a pliable material that is rough and suitable for soft injection moldable and extrusions applications. Mr. Frederic Scheer, Chairman and CEO of Cereplast, stated that the company has launched the new bioplastic resins in the market which is a result of the continuous effort of the company’s R&D team. He added that the Hybrid 651D has expanded the number of applications, which can be formed from the company’s resin product line, thus delivering customers with the latest range of properties for long-lasting environmental-friendly materials.
