ExxonMobil's aromatics unit, reformer at Rotterdam shutdown

01-Apr-08
As part of a shutdown of its aromatics plant, ExxonMobil has shut a gasoline-making reformer at its Botlek refinery in Rotterdam. The maintenance work is due to be completed by the end of April. The reformer processes naphtha into gasoline components and feedstock for the aromatics plant. The reformer is integrated with the petrochemical units and must be shut with them. Supplies to customers will remain uninterrupted.
