A major fire broke out at the South Asian Petrochemicals'' plant in Haldia. Chairman of South Asian Petro C K Dhanuka told PTI that the raw material godown caught fire. Production at the plant, which is one of the largest manufacturers of PET resins, has been immediately stopped. Dhanuka said the extent of the damage was around Rs 70 to Rs 75 crore.
