First stage of Russia’s biggest petrochem facility to be commissioned in Nizhnekamsk in 2010

The first stage of Russia’s biggest petrochemical facility will be commissioned in Nizhnekamsk in 2010. Installation and setting-up of the technological equipment will be completed by October 2010, to prepare the facility for commissioning. To be built at an outlay of 227 bln roubles, the plant is expected to refine 21 mln tpa of hydrocarbons annually, out of 32 mln tons of crude, which the republic produces every year. In addition, the facility will produce about 20 types of petrochemical products, comprising of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate and linear alkylbenzene.
