Formosa Petrochemical Corp will keep its No. 1 naphtha cracker shut until H2-June following a fire last week at a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipe, as per Reuters. It is estimated that over 200,000 tons of naphtha demand would be affected because of the month-long shutdown of the 700,000 tpa cracker and possible reductions at two of its other naphtha crackers with total capacity of 2.23 million tpa.
