Taiwan's Formosa Petrochemical Corp. has recently confirmed to start its 1.2 mln tpa capacity No.3 ethylene plant which was pulled off stream due to a mechanical slip in second week of March. Additionally, the public traded company will reportedly process 490,000 bpd of crude oil in 2009, a 9% increase compared to crude processed for the year 2008 and also opt for fewer maintenance turnarounds this year.
