29-Sep-09
Non-conformance with current standards has compelled French authorities to order replacement of 6,500 valves made in China for the French petrochemical and refining industries. Total is replacing the valves it discovered that did not conform to norms at its petrochemical plant at Gonfreville and at its La Mede refinery. The Environment Ministry has declared that these valves retailed by Sud Robinetterie Industrie do not conform to current standards. French authorities have notified its neighbors in Europe about the company that distributes the valves in The Netherlands and Italy.
