Gail (India) Ltd has reported a 15% jump in turnover for the financial year ended March 31, 2005. The company has posted a robust growth in turnover due to the increase in sales of natural gas and transmission on account of the supply of R-LNG, polymer sales and LPG transmission.
Turnover (excluding internal consumption and net of excise duty) rose to Rs 12,435 crore from Rs 10,827 crore in the previous fiscal. During the year, gas transmission was up by 16% to 72.86 MMSCMD from 62.84 MMSCMD in 2003-04. Polymer sales went up by 17% to 3,19,000 ton from 2,73,000 ton.
