The first multi-year contract has been awarded by a major gas distribution utility in North America specifying the use of PE100 type material. Gas pipes made from a bimodal polyethylene resin PE100 are to be supplied by KWH Pipe Canada Ltd. to Public Service Electric and Gas Co (Newark, NJ) considering a three year contract that has been signed between both parties.
PE100, estimated to be used significantly in Europe under ISO Standards, is considerably recognized as an improvement over materials such as PE2406 and PE3408 used in North America currently.
