Gazprom Neft and Sibur Holding plan to acquire an incomplete polypropylene plant in the Omsk region of Siberia from Titan Group. Titan had planned to invest US$180 mln on the project planned with capacity to produce 180,000 tpa of polypropylene. Titan began building the Poliom PP plant in 2008. The plant turned out its initial test batch of product in December 2011, but it has not yet been put in to industrial production.
Gazprom and SIbur are already in a joint venture that makes polypropylene-NPP Neftekhimiya, which operates as part of Moscow Oil Refinery.
