GE Plastics has announced the opening of its seventh Global Application Technology (GApT) center worldwide with the official opening of its new Korea Technology Center (KTC) in Sungnam City, Kyunggi Province. KTC will offer a wide range of services including part performance testing, dimensional testing, optical and defect analysis, and advanced injection molding and will provide GE's customers in Korea and the Asia Pacific region with state-of-the-art application development capabilities. Through the GApT initiative, GE Plastics is making significant investments in new equipment, machinery and technical customer support to further drive the use of its innovative materials in high-end applications.
This center is a reflection of GE's strong commitment to providing customers in the fast growing region of Korea, as well as the Asia Pacific region, with outstanding technical support and expertise to help them grow and compete successfully. New materials technologies are crucial to key Korean industries such as automotive and mobile phones.
